The Tooth Guardian

When you’re brushing your teeth at your house, it may be difficult to know if you got every single spot. And we all know that no one likes going to the dentist. The Tooth Guardian, designed by Chu-Che Chang, Yu-Hsin Lin, and Shang-Hsuan Lu is the new way to make sure you get every spot while brushing. All they did was put a camera system into your toothbrush.
An LED light is actually on your toothbrush and it lights up your mouth. The part that captures what’s going on inside your mouth is called a micro CCD. The tiny camera looks at all your teeth while you’re brushing, and then projects it onto the bathroom mirror. Now, you’ll never miss a spot. Another new feature is a UV light sterilizes your toothbrush when you’re done with your daily brushings. As of right now, the new toothbrush is just a concept they’re working with, it’s not actually being sold to anyone quite yet. 

I can relate to this new invention because I absolutely hate going to the dentist. I agree with the inventors, it is a good idea. But, I could see it having a lot of problems working, just like all technology does. And I see it being expensive, and I’m pretty sure a lot of people buy cheap toothbrushes from Walmart and places.

Crazy Stupid Love

Steve Carell stars as the main actor Cal in Crazy Stupid Love. While dealing with his kids and job, he also has to face going through a divorce with the woman he still loves. While in the mess of all this, he meets Jacob who is played by Ryan Gosling. Jacob attempts to help Cal through his situation of divorce while trying to find love himself. He ends up finding Hannah, who's played by Emma Stone, which may or may not turn into something good. While laughing at the comedy of the movie, you may find yourself crying at others. It's a romantic comedy that you'll love.

When I think about what I'm thankful for, it turns out I have a pretty good life! I am thankful that I have good health. Even if it seems like I have the worst headache or cold or whatever it is, I have to realize it's not as bad as some people have it.  I'm thankful for my home and where I live. I always feel safe, and some people don't get to feel that way. I'm grateful to have my friends, they are there for me all the time. Whenever I need something, I know I can turn to them. Same thing with my family, I can turn to them when I need to, and I know they'll be there for me. Our country, that's what I'm thankful for too because people here have rights that other countries don't have. I'm very thankful for our soldiers and what they do for our country. They risk our lives for our freedom, and that's something I could never imagine myself doing.

Here's an urban legend that I just found on Google that is super creepy. and horribly disgusting. So a couple was staying at a hotel, and they complained about a stench. They reported it to the staff, and they said they'd be up there in a sec. So, the staff arrives and were just like, "Ohh, I bet it's just from the last people who stayed here." Little did they know, when they lifted up the mattress, they found the rotting body of a dead girl who was stuffed in the box spring. This kind of thing has actually happened in Las Vegas, Missouri, New Jersey, and several times in California and Florida. And now, here's a story creepy Halloween story that's supposedly true. --- The Haunted Ebay Painting; In February 2000, a couple from California put a unique painting on Ebay. The painting was reportedly found abandoned behind an old brewery. Their daughter told them that she saw ghostly children leaving the painting during the night. Alarmed by this, the husband set up a camera. The couple said they captured two pictures of a boy exiting the painting. After just viewing the painting on Ebay, people said they felt ill, blacked out, heard voices, felt blasts of hot air, cried, and felt the need to pray until things were back to "normal." The winning bidder of this painting claimed to see no paranormal activity. The seller was never identified, but the artist was Brian Stoneham. The artist said later on that the owner of the gallery where this painting was displayed and a critic who wrote the show review were both dead within a year of the show. Kinda seems like a coincidence, I think. But who knows!

School & Social Media

•  I think bringing social media to schools would either be a really good thing, or possibly a bad thing. Social Media has already been brought to school in a way. For Computer Lit., we use Edmodo now. It's a website that's set up like Facebook, and the teacher can control a class they set up. They can put up assignments, and you would do those assignments on a document & turn it in on Edmodo. It's helpful because the assignments are on the computer and you can just turn them in in one spot rather than sending it to them. We do the same kind of thing for Physical Science, except it's called Schoology. On here we do quizzes and assignments. I personally would rather just do these assignments and quizzes on paper. I feel more prepared and I just am not a fan of staring at a computer screen for that long. 

• Bringing FB and Twitter to school, wouldn't happen, I don't think. Twitter would come first, because our school already has a Twitter account. You could like, communicate more with your teachers and stuff, but if you could get on at school, you would be distracted by others that you follow on there. Plus, instead of "tweeting" someone for a question, just email them or something. FB has way to much drama and what not to bring to school, so I doubt that'll happen. Another thing is, not everyone has access to the internet at their house or a computer in general. You could go to the public library and use one of their computers, but what if they live outta town and don't have a ride? Then, they can't get their assignments done. Overall, I think our school would be better without bringing social media. It just seems like a hassle. In some ways, it could be nice for people who enjoy working on the computer, but others can't stand it. Paper just seems more simple and easier to access for everyone.
