My summer wasn't that fun, actually. I expected it to be a lot more fun. I feel like I didn't do that much. Anyways, one thing that I actually enjoyed was the Washington D.C. trip. We went to so many places! I've seen a lot more now than I thought I would ever see. We went through the mountains of Pennsylvania to the Gettysburg battlefields in Virginia. We then actually went to D.C. Here, we just kind of went to a lot of monuments and museums. One exciting part of the capital was when we saw Barack Obama fly out of the White House in his helicopter. Then we moved on to Delaware to go to Rehoboth Beach. That was my favorite part of the whole trip. I absolutely love the ocean now, and that day we could pretty much go where ever we wanted as long as we stayed on the boardwalk. After that we headed up to New York and New Jersey, places up there. That part of the trip was alright. I just wasn't a fan of how busy it was. There was way too many people! After a week of exploring the east side of the United States, we finally headed back to good ol' Carroll, Iowa. It was a fun trip, that's for sure, but it was definitely nice to be home. So, I can now say I've been to about 10 new states! (Not sure if I counted them all, to be honest.)
- Iowa
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Ohio
- Pennsylvania
- Virginia
- West Virginia
- Delaware
- New Jersey
- New York
- Maryland
